Here are some cool & fun & creative things that I've been up to lately!

 

-Playing select dates at Il Capriccio, an elegant, upscale Italian restaurant in Whippany, NJ.  To see if I'll be there on a specific date, please call the restaurant at 973-884-9176 or e-mail me!

 

-Several "Simply Streisand" concerts with singer Carla DelVillaggio, including the re-opening of the famed "Bon Soir" nightclub in New York.

 

-CD “The Way to Peace” released!  Available at all the usual online music sources.  Check links page.  CD features Gilad Atzmon, Gary Ciuci, Eugene Moye, Cameron Brown, Anthony Pinciotti

 

-CD release concert at  “The Duplex” in New York, with Gilad Atzmon and Cameron Brown.  A packed room and very enthusiastic crowd!

 

- Crestwood Music Education Center Faculty Concert,  New Rochelle Public Library, New Rochelle,  NY

 

-My essay “The Cult of Atheist Zionism Posing as Judaism” published in “Beyond Tribal Loyalties:  Personal Stories of Jewish Peace Activists” by Avigail Abarbanel, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Newcastle, UK

 

-The Rich Siegel Orchestra (7 pieces) played what can only be described as the most spectacular event of the Fall 2011 social season:  the wedding of cabaret star Richard Skipper and landscape architect to the stars Dan Sherman.  Richard and Dan have been together for many years but New York finally made it legal.  Congratulations Richard and Dan!  Congratulations New York!  

 

-“ACTIVIST CONCERTS” for  Muslim Public Affairs Council in Anaheim, CA, for Palestine Children's Relief Fund Rutgers Univ. Chapter, fundraiser event for Palestine Children’s Relief Fund New Jersey Chapter, for Israeli Apartheid Week, Montreal, with Gilad Atzmon for Deir Yassin Remembered in Geneva and Rochester, NY.

 

-A five month stint playing and singing at Villa Amalfi restaurant in Cliffside Park, NJ

 

-The Rich Siegel Trio accompanied vocalist Michelle Pirret at a private event for music mogul Tommy Mottola in Westchester County.  The Rich Siegel Trio had previously played an anniversary party for Mr. Mottola and his wife, singing star Thalia.

 

-Musical Director and rehearsal pianist for, and featured performer in, the Off Broadway show “Jacques Brel Returns”, performances at the Triad, NYC.

 

-Featured soloist for church services on various dates at Unity Church, Montclair, NJ,  Unity Church of Sussex County, NJ, Center for Spiritual Living, West Orange, NJ

 

-A cappella vocal trio performance of James Fradrich composition at memorial service for James in New York.

 

-Accompanied cabaret star Karen Oberlin, concert at Harmonie Club, New York

 

-Activist concerts, one for Palestine Children’s Relief Fund Rutgers, one for PCRF’s New Jersey chapter fundraiser dinner, and one at Israeli Apartheid week in Montreal

 

-Played event for radio personality Bill O'Shaughnessy at Le Cirque, NYC

  

-Played the "Valentine Ball" at the International House, NYC, with my

eight-piece orchestra, sadly closing an 80+ year tradition of formal balls there.

 

-Took my piano/vocal single to Mexico to play at "Number Four" restaurant and piano bar, in Ajijic, Jaslico.

 

-Background vocals, part of 8-piece chorus, in "Family Guy Sings" at Carnegie Hall, NYC

 

-Accompanied cabaret artist Frans Bloem in his show "An Evening in Paris" at the Harvard Club of New York, with Saadi Zain on bass

 

-Featured with Nancy Winston in Midtown Jazz at Midday series, St. Paul’s church, NYC

 

-Accompanied Italian singer Giada Valenti at an Italian Festival in Wilmington, Delaware.  The band included Richard Padron, Saadi Zain, and Maurizio Zotarelli
